As not all issues can be pursued with the same vigor, we require all our partners to support our "Guiding Principle 05: Energy and emissions": "We use renewable energy, increase energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with our targets or offset them in a climate-neutral manner." This means focusing on reducing the energy required, particularly in the supply chain.

Project KliMaWirtschaft
The implementation can be found in the development of a greenhouse gas balance with ecocockpit as part of the KliMaWirtschaft project of the BVMW-Bundesverband Mittelständische Wirtschaft, Unternehmerverband Deutschland e.V. and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (Fraunhofer IPK) in order to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions (funding code 67KF0166A/B).

Grow My Tree
By planting trees, we support local farmers and villagers in the Global South, where the environmental, social and economic leverage of tree planting is greatest: not only are ecosystems restored, but women are empowered and poverty is reduced. In this way, the idea of sustainable development is promoted and at the same time climate change is combated by binding CO2.
