Corona stop in the classroom: safely through the winter
Sit in the classroom for hours without fear - and without freezing: It's possible with the right air purifier!
But how does our completely different principle of action work
?
Our ProActiveAir iO+ devices ensure equally clean air everywhere in the room. It is the special mode of action that ultimately ensures clean air.
Find out more about the operating principle of ProActiveAir
Removes aerosols directly at their point of origin
Conventional devices with HEPA filters must first draw the viruses across the room to the filter. Every person on the way there is exposed to an increased risk of infection. The ProActiveAir iO+, on the other hand, removes particles and aerosols directly at their point of origin - as they enter the air.
So the virus doesn't even reach your classmate
This happens because the air is ionized. This causes the particles it contains to fall directly to the ground. There, activated oxygen released by the device renders the viruses harmless. "The room air is the barrier for the virus, it doesn't even reach the other person," explains Marcel Zahlen, CEO of ProActiveAir. "This also means that with our device, the air is equally clean everywhere in the room."
The advantages at a glance
- Protection against infection by animals & bacteria via the air
- Reduces odor
- Elimination of airborne allergens
- Low noise and energy consumption

ProActiveAir makes German schools & kindergartens safe for 6 months
From June to December 2021 no infections have been passed on within the school
A safe school attendance in Germany even during the pandemic? That works! Face-to-face teaching is safe thanks to ProActiveAir
The challenge
In June 2021, the town of Jettingen was looking for a solution to protect the children and staff in its schools and nurseries. Without further ado, ProActiveAir GmbH equipped all classrooms and all rooms in the kindergarten within the town of Jettingen with devices. As a result, all 3 kindergartens (70 devices) and 3 schools (150 devices) in the small town were protected by 220 ProActiveAir iO+ devices.
The solution
The solution favored by the federal government at the time, opening the windows every 20 minutes, did not satisfy Rector Brucker. "I don't want children sitting at the window with a winter jacket and snow on their exercise books," he said. The community school was visited by representatives of the federal government, who wanted to see for themselves that the technology used is also safe and quiet. The schools in Jettingen are among the first to use active protection in all rooms and were delighted to be able to offer the children and staff a safe learning environment. The safety and effectiveness of the iO+ were certified by renowned institutes and the values were measured by ProActiveAir employees on site in the schools.
The secret of ProActiveAir's air handlers is to create active protection throughout the room: They remove pollutants not with a built-in filter, but by making the air in the room itself safe as soon as the devices are switched on. And it doesn't matter whether the air already contains corona viruses or not. ProActiveAir's patented solution works with natural modes of action, the power of ionization and a controlled dose of active oxygen. All types of bacteria and viruses are cold oxidized and rendered harmless on the spot.
The big advantage of this technology is that the air is equally clean everywhere in the room - and not just in the immediate vicinity of the device, as is the case with conventional air purifiers with filters. "The virus doesn't even get to the people around it," says Marcel Zahlen, Managing Director at ProActiveAir, explaining the basic idea. The device captures 99.96% of all viruses, bacteria, particles and pollutants. The large iO+ protects up to 160 square meters (400 cubic meters), and its little brother iO + Smart up to 75 square meters (190 cubic meters).
The result
There has been no spread of corona in the classrooms for more than six months, said principal Dominic Brucker, Jettingen Community School.
